Abstract
Atopic dermatitis is a common, chronic, inflammatory skin disorder that primarily affects children but can continue into adulthood. In this review we describe that the cause of atopic dermatitis is a combination of genetic, immunological, and environmental factors. Patients with atopic dermatitishave an increased risk of developing food allergies, hay fever, and asthma.
