Abstract

Cross-sections for the 153Eu(α,x)151-156Tb,153Gd reactions were measured by using the stacked foil technique within alpha-particle energy range of 60.0 to 19.8 MeV. All of the data were obtained for the first time. Experimental data were compared with theoretical values from the TENDL-2023 database. Thick target yields of activation products were calculated. The reactions 153Eu(α,2n)155Tb and 153Eu(α,5n) 152g Tb were compared with other 155Tb and 152Tb production routes. The reaction allows producing up to 2.17 MBq/(μA·h) of 155Tb with the minimum possible 156Tb content of 2.1 % within the energy range of 30.2 to 27.5 MeV.

对153Eu(α,2n)155Tb和153Eu(α,5n) 152g Tb反应进行了比较。在30.2 ~ 27.5 MeV的能量范围内,该反应可产生2.17 MBq/(μA·h)的155Tb,最小156Tb含量为2.1%。

期刊介绍: Radiation Physics and Chemistry is a multidisciplinary journal that provides a medium for publication of substantial and original papers, reviews, and short communications which focus on research and developments involving ionizing radiation in radiation physics, radiation chemistry and radiation processing. The journal aims to publish papers with significance to an international audience, containing substantial novelty and scientific impact. The Editors reserve the rights to reject, with or without external review, papers that do not meet these criteria. This could include papers that are very similar to previous publications, only with changed target substrates, employed materials, analyzed sites and experimental methods, report results without presenting new insights and/or hypothesis testing, or do not focus on the radiation effects.
