With the bird under halothane anesthesia and the beak held open, a sponge forceps was used to extract a string of 25 beads from the alimentary tract. Abstract
An Amazon Parrot regurgitated and drooled and had blood in its droppings. Abdominal palpation revealed several small, spherical masses. Positive-contrast radiographs clearly delineated the objects.
