Abstract

Microsurgery, intraductal pancreatic occlusion by an Ethibloc bolus and intravenous glucose load in the rat enable investigations to be made into the feed-back relationships between occlusion-induced acinar atrophy and the response of the islet hormones insulin, glucagon, somatostatin, and glucose tolerance.
