The author discusses the identification of a family-oriented clinical model, the identification of the prerequisites needed for students' entry into clinical training in the family-oriented model, the prerequisites that students need to develop for independent clinical practice, and the management of common challenges faced by students as they participate in the family-oriented model. Abstract
