Of these 361 or 18% were categorised as severely injured according to the AIS/ISS scoring system. 31% of these 361 skiers were injured by colliding at considerable speed with either a moving object (other skier, snow cat, ski-lift, etc) or fixed obstacles (trees, rocks, pilons, etc) along the ski slopes.
