Abstract

Wavelet decomposition is applied to the analysis of the nucleotide sequence of the rhodopsin gene of Chinese Hamster cells. The Lipschitz-Hölder exponents for the probability measurements of adenine, guanine, thymine and cytosine distributions are obtained. The local scaling found by means of wavelet analysis is argued to be an indication of long-range correlations.
