This was held in Sweden in April 1998 and ended in an agreement to launch a Decade of Bone and Joint from 2000 to 2010. Abstract
The increasing impact of bone and joint disorders on patients and healthcare systems, and an awareness that resources need to be more efficiently used, led to arrangements for a Consensus Meeting.
