Abstract

Atlanta children's hospital system initiates outpatient pediatric asthma disease management program to reduce inpatient admissions and ER visits while reducing costs. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta turned to the primary care physician community for front-line support in keeping mild asthma cases out of the hospital. By offering evidence-based practice guidelines, training for staff, and educational materials for patients and their families, the Partnership to ACE Asthma program is off to a running start.
