Abstract
The impact of retirement on morbidity and mortality in Canada is examined. "The mortality experience of a cohort of 15,260 men and 5,632 women, retiring in 1970 at the age of 65, is compared with corresponding age-specific death rates observed in the general Canadian population between 1970-74."
