Abstract
A procedure for intraoperative ultrasound revision of the mediastinum was applied to 40 patients. An intraoperative mediastinal ultra- sound study, by using sterile 0.9% NaCl solution, could improve the imaging of an operative wound in a restricted space and determine the pattern and extent of a tumorous process, which directly affected treatment policy.
