These include Parkinson's disease (PD), dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB), Rapid Eye Movement Sleep Behavior Disorder (RBD) and Pure Autonomic Failure (PAF), i.e., collectively termed α-synucleinopathies. Abstract

Neurodegenerative diseases are a heterogeneous group of disorders characterized by gradual progressive neuronal loss in the central nervous system.
