Abstract

In the paper of Wang et al. (2018), the authors present the relation between cell viability and the three main exposure parameters (electric intensity (Es), pulse duration (τ), and pulse number (N)) of 9.33 GHz pulsed radiofrequency electromagnetic field (RF-EMP). On page 2 of Wang et al. (2018) paper, considered that the electrical field intensity Es of EMP could be used as the only variable, and a Li et al. (2008) paper is cited in which it was that has been verified the bioeffect caused by Es = 50 kV/m and 400 pulses is less significant than that of Es = 400 kV/m and 400 pulses. If we calculate the intensity of the electromagnetic wave associated with that electric field, we obtain the next result:

期刊介绍: Aims & Scope: Electromagnetic Biology and Medicine, publishes peer-reviewed research articles on the biological effects and medical applications of non-ionizing electromagnetic fields (from extremely-low frequency to radiofrequency). Topic examples include in vitro and in vivo studies, epidemiological investigation, mechanism and mode of interaction between non-ionizing electromagnetic fields and biological systems. In addition to publishing original articles, the journal also publishes meeting summaries and reports, and reviews on selected topics.
