Abstract
Lipurometriocnemus Sæther (Diptera: Chironomidae: Orthocladiinae) is composed of five species endemic to the American continent. Three new species from Argentina are described and illustrated as males and Austrocladius barilochensis (Edwards) is newly transferred to Lipurometriocnemus.
