Abstract
Abstract A new species from the Atlantic Forest of northeastern Brazil, Jacquemontia atlantica, is described and illustrated. A distribution map, karyological characters, and an identification key for the species of that genus found in the Atlantic Forest are also provided, and its informal conservation status is assessed according to IUCN criteria.
