EL ABC Y LA GUERRA CIVIL ESPAÑOLA. EL CASO DEL BOMBARDEO DE ALMERÍA POR LA KRIEGSMARINE.

Abstract

The aim of this study is the analysis of the relationship between the bombardment on Almeria by Kriegsmarine on May 31st, 1937 and the ABC newspaper. Critical rigour has been used when approaching the press as a documentary source in the analysis of the Contemporary Spanish History, considering both its production and the characters that made it. To achieve this, the publishing work and the opinion one were taken into account. The important role that the written press had as a propaganda weapon in the Spanish Civil War will be studied by analyzing the war itself, its consequences and in what way this war was transmitted by both sides to their readers. All of this from the analysis of a historical event that belongs to our nearest memory and of which it´s 82 years.
