Illicit urban neighbourhoods have formed, characterized by well-constructed houses. Abstract
When an urban practice operates outside the normative mechanisms established by public authorities, it is considered informal. Over the course of several years, the Algerian State has undertaken multiple initiatives to combat illegal dwellings, with the primary objective of regularizing these forms of housing without any associated land appropriation. We welcome scholars to bring their contribution (original articles in basic and applied research, case studies) and increase interdisciplinary research on settlements and their spatial impact.
