Configurações do espaço, corpo e paisagem em Guimarães Rosa

Abstract

The core of this reflection is the analysis of the relationship between body and landscape, which is still a theme insufficiently explored in Guimarães Rosa’s work, and the ways as the landscape transforms in literary components in Corpo de Baile (1956), based on Michel Collot’s notion of literary landscape and Merleau-Ponty’s phenomenology of perception. The article problematizes the space and the bodies in Rosa’s narratives based on the landscape constructions, which act as creative forces of the experiential perspective of the characters. As a result, the space and the landscape in the context of this reading are perceived by the characters through the sensory organs, which have as mediator the body.
