The sample size was calculated to estimate the mean of these traits, based on Student’s t-distribution, and the relations among traits were investigated through correlation and path analysis. To estimate the mean of these ten traits of C. spectabilis, with a maximum error of 10% of the mean and 95% confidence level, 64 plants are needed. In an experiment, to estimate the mean of each treatment with 10% precision, 64 plants per treatment must be evaluated.
