Sistem Pendukung Keputusan Penentuan Calon Penerima Beasiswa Menggunakan Metode Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) Berbasis Web

Abstract

The State Polytechnic of Tanah Laut manages Bidikmisi scholarship program and PPA (Improved Academic Achievement) for prospective students and students. Determination of scholarship recipients still using Microsoft Excel by entering the scholarship applicant data and doing calculations based on assessment criteria on each scholarship. The selection process requires a relatively long time and accuracy because each file collected by students and prospective students will be compared with each scholarship criterion. These problems can be overcome by building a web-based decision support system to select prospective scholarship recipients. Decision making on the determination of prospective scholarship recipients using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method is done by assigning a weight value to each attribute and proceed with the ranking process to select alternatives. System development is carried out using Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) programming language with the CodeIgniter framework. This study aims to rank the weight value of each attribute that is a requirement in determining scholarships. The level of accuracy between the answers obtained from the system with the information requested by the user can be known by comparing the results of calculations on the system with the results of manual calculations.
