The purpose of the study is to determine the characteristics of parental attitude to children among residents of nursing homes. The hypothesis of the study is the assumption of a connection between the residence of an elderly person in nursing home with the peculiarities of parental relations in the past. \nParental attitude to children in the past was studied using the modified methodology “Questionnaire of parental attitude” by A.Ya. Varga and V.V. Stolin. \nFactor analysis of the empirical data obtained allowed us to conclude about the structural differences in the factors that determine the parental attitude. Abstract
The presented article is devoted to a comparative retrospective analysis of parental attitudes to children among residents and non-residents of nursing homes. The purpose of the study is to determine the characteristics of parental attitude to children among residents of nursing homes. The hypothesis of the study is the assumption of a connection between the residence of an elderly person in nursing home with the peculiarities of parental relations in the past.
Parental attitude to children in the past was studied using the modified methodology “Questionnaire of parental attitude” by A.Ya. Varga and V.V. Stolin.
Factor analysis of the empirical data obtained allowed us to conclude about the structural differences in the factors that determine the parental attitude. In the sample of non-residents, the variable “Authoritarian hypersocialization” is included in one of the factors, which is not observed in the sample of residents of nursing homes.
