DISTANCIAS CORTAS ENTRE MILLONES DE AÑOS. COGNICIÓN Y LÍMITES DE LO FANTÁSTICO EN ARMONÍA SOMERS

Abstract

In this paper we approach the narrative production of Armonía Somers in order to document the possibilities of the fantastic, based on the cognitive paradigm. From some stories of the Uruguayan author, the use of it as an investigative tool in the human condition is analyzed. In this questioning, in the light of the latest studies in cognitive sciences, it is revealed as fundamental to pay attention to the reading processes and the effects it causes in the reader. In this way, the aesthetic experience is altered by these forms of the fantastic.
