Abstract
ABSTRACT The breach of the Capitol Building on 6 January 2021 was an unprecedented event in United States history, but the behaviour of the people on the Capitol grounds and inside the Capitol Building was consistent with the findings of sociological research on behaviour in riots and other temporary gatherings.
