METHOD: For this purpose, an exploratory case study is conducted in one of the leading universities in Pakistan. This institution implemented enterprise information systems recently in 2021. The interviews of the officers involved in the process of implementation and management of such systems were conducted and transcribed. Abstract
BACKGROUND: There is a growing number of reasons that encourage worldwide universities to implement integrated systems and further introduce major technology-enabled change in the organization. Successfully implementing and sustaining such change demands an effective post-implementation strategy on the part of top management. Appreciably large is the gulf between the innovative ideas that world-class societal human systems create and use, and what some conventional business journals offer. The latter often pertain to already refuted practices, while outmoded business-school curricula reinforce this problematic situation.
