Pathogenicity of E. coli was tested by culturing in Blood Agar to see the results of hemolysin production and on Sorbitol-MacConkey Agar (SMAC) to see the ability of Sorbitol fermentation. Abstract

Colibacillosisis is an infectious disease in poultry caused by pathogenic Escherichia coli (E. coli) as primary or secondary agents. This study were aim to identify and test the pathogenicity ofE. coli isolated from chicken cloacal swabs. The samples used in this study were E. coli isolated from chicken cloacal swabs as many as 42 samples. 大肠杆菌病是由致病性大肠杆菌(E. coli)作为主要或次要病原体引起的家禽传染病。本研究旨在鉴定和检测大肠杆菌的致病性。从鸡粪拭子中分离出大肠杆菌。本研究中使用的样本是从鸡粪拭子中分离的大肠杆菌多达42个样本。本研究的第一阶段是在伊红亚甲基蓝琼脂(EMBA)培养基中继代培养大肠杆菌,然后用三糖铁琼脂(TSIA)、硫吲哚琼脂(SIM)、西蒙斯柠檬酸琼脂(SCA)和甲基红Voges-Proskauer (MRVP)进行革兰氏染色和生化鉴定。在血琼脂培养基上检测大肠杆菌的致病性,观察溶血素的产生情况;在山梨糖醇-麦康基琼脂培养基上检测山梨糖醇的发酵能力。从血琼脂和SMAC琼脂的致病性试验结果来看,12株分离株为致病性大肠杆菌。
