The Hero’s Journey conceptual framework was used in this narrative study to understand what motivates and influences Latino men to transfer from a community college to a university. The specific methods of data collection used for this study consisted of two interviews and two journal entries per participant. The findings of this study provide evidence that for Latino participants, navigating through the transfer experience encompassed resiliency.
