Abstract

The objective of the present study is to develop a numerical model of the centrifugal electromagnetic induction pump to predict the developed pressure in the case of zero flowrate. This is done using the COMSOL Multiphysics software in a 2D space with a time harmonic approach. A good agreement with previously reported experimental results was obtained. Based on the developed model, a study of the linear electromagnetic induction pump is also carried out and the obtained results are compared with those for the centrifugal electromagnetic induction pump.
