The hypotheses of the research were: (1) There was an influence of the professional allowance on teachers` performance in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTsN) Sub Rayon I Agam regency. (2) There was an influence of the teachers' job motivation on their performance in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTsN) Sub Rayon I Agam regency. (3) There was an influence of the professional allowance and job motivation on the teachers’ performance in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTsN) Sub Rayon I Agam regency. The population of this research was 150 teachers of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTsN) Sub Rayon I Agam regency. Tne total sample of this research was 72 teachers. This research used Stratified Proportional Random Sampling. The results of this research revealed that: (1) The professional allowance influenced positively and significantly on teachers` performance in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTsN) Sub Rayon I Agam regency, in which the teachers` performance was determined by the professional allowance, namely 28.8%. (2) Job motivation influenced positively and significantly on the teachers’ performance in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTsN) Sub Rayon I Agam regency, in which teachers’ performance was determined by job motivation, namely 33.5%. Abstract
