This review presents the research advances of diagnosis and therapy of pulmonary diseases as well as value of the LUS in lung-protective ventilation strategy in recent years. Through further investigation, the significance of clinical application of LUS will be confirmed. Abstract

Lung ultrasound(LUS) has been widely used in the diagnosis of pulmonary diseases. However, the role of LUS in lung-protective ventilation strategy of the diagnosis and treatment in patients with pulmonary complications combined with acute respiratory distress syndrome/acute lung injury(ARDS/ALI) is still not clear. This review presents the research advances of diagnosis and therapy of pulmonary diseases as well as value of the LUS in lung-protective ventilation strategy in recent years.
