Abstract

This paper analyzes the generation mechanism of a cross-polarized field resulting from panel misalignment errors in a solid-surface deployable antenna. Misalignment of the panel in a deployable antenna results in path length error and rotation of the unit normal vector on the reflector surface. However, in terms of the analysis of cross-polarization (cross-pol) generation, rotational error is a more significant factor.
