Abstract
For this, the history of formalization and the land market is studied. Thus, the political and institutional obstacles encountered by the implementation of this policy are addressed, in particular existing cadastral precariousness. In addition, the instrumental character given by the government to the point on the land included in the peace agreements signed with the FARC-EP in 2016 is analysed. Finally, it is suggested that the conservation of the latifundismo remains not only the greatest obstacle to the search for solutions to the armed conflict and the construction of a more just and equitable society, but also for the existence of a unitary and modern State in Colombia
