Abstract
Abstract. Diaochana, a new genus of Cephidae, is established for a new species and three known species originally placed in Caenocephus Konow. A diagnosis of the new genus and the differences between the new genus and Caenocephus are discussed in detail. Dianchana taibaiensis new species is described from Shaanxi, China. The new combinations Diaochana akiyamai (Shinohara, 1999), D. tianmunica (Wei, 1999), and D. xanthopus (Shinohara, 1999) are transferred from Caenocephus. A key to species of Diaochana new genus is provided.
