Several activities where done, such as: revision of theoretical arguments, analysis of both, syllabus and study programs, interviews to focal groups in six communities, and the realization of three teachers’ workshops. Abstract

This article presents the results from research done as part of the project developed with the participation of an academic board from the autonomous universities of Guerrero, San Luis Potosi and Guadalajara, as members of the “Red Salud de la Mujer Indígena”, sponsored by PRODEP and PROFIDES, branches of the federal government. The involvement of the Academic Board of “Centro de Actualizacion del Magisterio de Iguala” consisted in dimensioning the role of the educational sector in the creation of healthy habits within the indigenous population.
