Se trata de un estudio correlacional causal y su objetivo fue determinar el efecto de las inteligencias multiples en el rendimiento academico de los estudiantes. Para ello se determino las inteligencias multiples de los estudiantes y su desempeno academico en las experiencias curriculares. Asimismo, se determino que tipo de inteligencia tuvo mayor influencia en su desempeno academico. Las calificaciones tomadas en cuenta para evaluar su desempeno academico fueron las calificaciones obtenidas en el primer examen parcial de las experiencias curriculares de ingles I, II, III, IV y V y las de frances I, II, III y IV. El estudio de las inteligencias multiples se baso en la teoria desarrollada por Howard Gardner. Por ultimo, se espera que esta informacion sirva de base para futuras investigaciones que apoyen la mejora de las clases en las que participen profesores y estudiantes de la Escuela de Idiomas. EnglishThe present research was based on the curricular experiences in both English and French taught to the students of the School of Languages during the 2016-I semester. This was a causal correlational study and its objective was to determine the effect of multiple intelligences on the students' academic performance. For this purpose, the students' multiple intelligences and their academic performance in those curricular experiences were determined. Which type of intelligence had the greatest influence on their academic performance was also determined. The grades taken into account to evaluate their academic performance were the grades obtained in the first partial examination of the curricular experiences of English I, II, III, IV and V and those of French I, II, III and IV. The study of multiple intelligences was based on the theory developed by Howard Gardner.
