Abstract

The new communicational ambience, the result of digital culture, has crossed the production and consumption of literary narratives, which expand to the networks and are (re) created by prosumers (SCOLARI, 2016). This article analyzes the comments on the Periscope broadcasts of the Wizarding World Book Club, a Harry Potter Book Club, created in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the saga's first book release. Using the methodology of Ferres and Piscitelli (2015), the study seeks to understand how prosumers perceive the content by live streaming and consequently, produce messages. The analysis indicates a critical sense in the production of messages by the prosumers and it was concludes that the characteristics within the scope of expression were more frequent than in other aspects analyzed.
