VALUTARE LA COMPRENSIONE SCRITTA IN ITALIANO LS ATTRAVERSO I TESTI LETTERARI: IL PROGETTO “AXIO-LOGOS”

Abstract

In quanto ‘materiali autentici’, i testi letterari rappresentano una risorsa per promuovere l’apprendimento delle lingue seconde e straniere (L2/LS). Il presente studio intende indagare la validità dell’uso dei testi letterari per la valutazione della comprensione scritta. In particolare, la ricerca considera l’effetto dell’uso dei testi letterari nelle prestazioni di esaminandi di italiano LS e le caratteristiche dei testi (profilo lessicale e sintattico) che influiscono sulle loro scelte in una prova di comprensione scritta all’interno del sistema di Certificazione Statale di conoscenza dell’italiano LS in Grecia (KPG). A questo scopo, nell’articolo si presentano i primi risultati del progetto AXIO-LOGOS, riguardanti la definizione di un corpus di testi letterari, suddivisi in categorie rispetto al livello linguistico e ad altre caratteristiche testuali ed extratestuali. Sono stati analizzati 210 test di studenti dell’Università Aristotele di Salonicco che hanno sostenuto l’esame pilota di lingua italiana di livello B graduato, nel quale il 50% delle prove includevano testi letterari e l’altro 50% testi giornalistici. I risultati non hanno indicato una notevole differenza nelle prestazioni degli esaminandi tra le prove focalizzate sui testi letterari e quelle basate su testi giornalistici.   Assessing the Italian LS writing skill through literary texts: the project “axio-logos” As ‘authentic materials’, literary texts represent a resource for promoting the learning of second and foreign languages ​​(L2 / LS). This study intends to investigate the validity of the use of literary texts for the evaluation of written comprehension. In particular, the present research examines the effect of literary texts on the performance of Italian LS exam candidates and the characteristics of texts (lexical and syntactic profiles) that influence their choices in a written comprehension test within the system of State certification of knowledge of Italian LS in Greece (KPG). To this end, the article presents the first results of the AXIO-LOGOS project, concerning the definition of a literary texts corpus, divided into categories with respect to the linguistic level and other textual and extra-textual characteristics. 210 tests were analysed by students from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki who took the pilot B-level Italian language exam, in which 50% of the tests included literary texts and the other 50% journalistic texts. The results did not indicate a noticeable difference in test takers’ performance between tests focused on literary texts and those based on journalistic texts.
