Abstract
In 2020, a research study was conducted surveying homicide investigators and managers within the province of Alberta (Canada). This study provided investigator insight and knowledge of current issues impacting investigations, focusing on issues related to the law and prosecutions. Specifically, two key Supreme Court of Canada decisions were identified as having significant impact on homicide investigations.
