Moreover, despite its relatively narrow focus, it is a perfect example of the syncretic nature of current philosophical research on memory, where philosophy of mind, philosophy of science, cognitive science, epistemology, and other fields not covered in the book (such as the affective sciences and ethics) are joining their forces to understand such an important human (and maybe also non-human) capacity.
