Abstract
Among the ammonite collection from the Neuquén and Mendoza provinces made by G. Bodenbender, stands Aspidocerasbodenbenderi Behrendsen. This rare aspidoceratid is assigned to the lower Alternans Zone because of the associated Parodontoceras calistoides (Behrendsen), and can be most likely attributed to the recently established genus Hypowaagenia Schweigert & Schlampp.
