Theoretically, on the basis of these two hypotheses, hypnotic suggestions for analgesia can affect pain at multiple levels, including its generation at the periphery, secondary sensory neurons sensitization, and modulation of endocrine/immune responses through the modulation of autonomic activity. Abstract
