A análise escalar nos estudos das dinâmicas territoriais: considerações a partir de experiências de desenvolvimento rural no Rio Grande do Sul

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the dynamics of local/regional development experiences, based on a territorial and scalar approach, using Political Geography contributions. In this perspective, the processes of territorial development refer to power relations, in other words, the ability actors to make decisions and restructure the space, to impregnate new uses on the territory, which, in turn, stems from multiscale dynamics. We will use these references to analyze the biofuels production experiences, implemented by family farmers in northwestern Rio Grande do Sul.
