Evidências de atividade neotectônica nos maciços alcalinos de Itatiaia e Passa Quatro, sul de Minas Gerais

Abstract

This paper aims to present and discuss neotectonic activity in the alcaline massifs of Itatiaia e Passa Quatro in its part situated in the Minas Gerais State through structural analysis techniques (geomorphic indexes, lineament extraction) and investigation of topographic levels entending to establish connections to geomorphic surfaces the exist in the area. The results recognized a recent and active tectonic, acting on the deformation of geomorphologic surfaces and on the relief’s and drainage’s configuration.
