The obtained results indicate that the new proposed amendment ensures a more realistic assessment of the silo steel wall buckling resistance. Abstract

The latest final draft amendment EN 1993-4- 1:2007/FprA1 brings a variety of changes that will apparently soon become valid. Present article deals with the issue(s) of silo steel wall design from the aspect of proposed changes related to the assessment of buckling resistance of the silo steel wall(s).
