DMI can be neglected at temperatures higher than 60.2 K. Abstract

The spontaneous magnetization reversal of the finite-length Co chains on Pt(664) surface is investigated in the framework of the classical effective theory. The effective theory includes the Heisenberg exchange interaction, magnetic anisotropy energy, Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya interaction (DMI), and dipole–dipole interaction.
