Abstract

We studied the magneto-optical and magnetic behavior of Co- and Fe-rich microwires that were stress-annealed at temperatures distributed along the microwire length. There was a transformation of the magnetic structure across zones subjected to annealing at different temperatures. Differences in the magnetic behavior between the surface and bulk were observed for both Co- and Fe-rich microwires.
