The documents indicate some policies that generate consensus based on the defense of rights and social justice. However, in the prescriptions for political and economic actions, there is a difficulty in dealing with the authoritarian enclaves that block the advances of democratic practices in the region. Democratic social cohesion and conflict deterrence: Latin America and covid-19 in Eclac/UN documents aims to understand the ambiguities and ambivalences present both in the diagnoses and prescriptions contained in the Eclac materials produced during 2020 and 2021.
