Abstract

Abstract Librarians should evaluate tutorial technology using learning science to successfully teach information literacy asynchronously. There are several technology features to consider including the ability to embed multimedia, give immediate feedback, record data, provide interactivity, allow branching scenarios, ease of use, and accessibility compliance. The purpose of this article is to evaluate popular tutorial technology based on these features while also considering cost and the time required to learn each technology.
