Abstract

One hundred and thirty six isolates of Halophytophthora were collected from mangrove leaves. Eighty seven isolates were identified to 5 species and one species complex. Of these, six strains identified as Halophytophthora spinosa var. lobata are newly recorded in Taiwan. The influence of varying salinity and temperature to growth and reproduction of Halophytophthora spinosa strains were presented. Phylogenetic analyses based on D1D2 region of LSU rDNA of Halophytophthra species were conducted in this study.
