Abstract

Bimodal approach to the shock structure is investigated. The closing moments non-analytical in velocity, 1/vz and vτ2/vz, are used. For pseudo-Maxwellian molecules, using the Bobylev’s method of the Fourier transformation of the Boltzmann equation, it is possible to obtain the Mach number dependence of the thickness.
