Abstract

This paper presents an approach to design of synchronous turbo generator monitoring system. Various physical quantities that are important for operation of the synchronous generator in the power plant such as armature and field voltages and currents, position of the rotor, vibrations of the end windings, flux densities and temperatures over machine are monitored.
